Soil Hydrology Process and Rational Use of Soil Water in Desert Regions

نویسندگان

چکیده

There is a balanced plant–water relationship in the original vegetation desert area. With increase population and social development of area, people need goods services forest ecosystem. To meet growing demand for plant community services, more has been changed into non-native vegetation, such as Loess Plateau China. However, with growth, sometime soil drying happens becomes gradually serious time most regions. Serious eventually results quality degradation, decline, crop failure, which influence produce supply market dry years or waste water resources wet years, wastes precious natural resources. In order to use rationally, must be used sustainable way regulated Soil Water carrying capacity key period regulation carry out resources, high-quality grass, production fruit crops

Review and Classification of Modeling Approaches of Soil Hydrology Processes

To use soil hydrology processe (SHP) models, which have increasingly extended during the last years, comprehensive knowledge about these models and their modeling approaches seems to be necessary. The modeling approaches can be categorized as either classical or non-classical. Classical approaches mainly model the SHP through solving the general unsaturated flow (Richards) equation, numerically...

Assessing Relation of Soil Hydrophobicity and Soil Water Content and Determining Threshold Moisture of Organic Soil Samples

Soil water content is the most effective factor associated with the hydrophobic and hydrophilic changes in a soil. Water repellency in soils, is not a permanent feature; it can be reached in the dry season and reduced or eliminated in the wet season It can be said that in terms of moisture, there is a critical region that is defined as the threshold moisture content, where in lower moisture, th...

The Effect of Land use and Soil Erosion on Soil Organic Carbon and Nitrogen Stock

Soil organic carbon (SOC) is a principal component in soil quality assessment. Knowledge of SOC and total nitrogen (TN) stocks are important keys to understand the role of SOC in the global carbon cycle and, as a result, in the mitigation of global greenhouse effects. SOC and TN stocks are functions of the SOC concentration and the bulk density of the soil that are prone to changes, influe...

Hydrology and species-specific effects of Bacopa monnieri and Leersia oryzoides on soil and water chemistry

In an 8-week greenhouse experiment, Bacopa monnieri (water hyssop) and Leersia oryzoides (rice cutgrass) were compared for nutrient assimilation as well as soil and water chemistry under variable flooding regimes using a nutrient solution rich in nitrogen (N) and phosphorus (P). Soil redox potential decreased in flooded treatments; however, mesocosms containing B. monnieri remained aerobic for ...
